SUBMISSION POLICY

Only abstracts are required for the submission. Individuals may submit a maximum of one (1) abstract as primary author (whether paper, poster, or themed panel), and one (1) abstract as non-primary author.

  • Individual paper and poster abstracts: October 30, 2024 to April 15, 2025​

  • Themed panel proposals: April 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM  

  • 3MT presentations: June 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM

  • Outstanding Paper Award submissions: June 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM

OTHER IMPORTANT DATES

  • Notification of reviews: May 15, 2025

  • Full paper submission for conference proceedings: TBA

Individual Papers

Everyone is invited to submit a 300-word abstract for parallel sessions.  Papers are given 20-minute presentations and 10-minute Q&A.

Posters

Poster presentations are excellent venues for face-to-face discussions of research. They are effective in succinctly presenting findings.

Themed Panels

Themed panels allow for extended discussion on a particular topic by organizing individual presentations (min. of 3, max. of 5) within a single theme. Interested panel organizers are invited to submit 300-word abstracts for a 2-hour block. The organizers have the freedom to run their sessions including the program. They are also responsible for liaising between their panel members (e.g., inviting) and the ICALLE organizing committee.

3MT Competition

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a competition for those who recently completed their MA or PhD degrees. Contestants are expected to present the highlights of their theses or dissertations in 3 minutes. This competition also aims to provide contestants with the opportunity to hone and showcase their research communication skills through an unedited video presentation.
